Thought I’d throw this up here so you don’t have to research. And as a “note to self” for myself!
There are a zillion different kinds of warts. They’re generally caused by HPV – Human papillomavirus. There are over 200 kinds of HPV. There are many different kinds of warts, but the most common are caused by HPV-2 and HPV-4. The “wart” tissue that you see is the result of the HPV causing your skin cells to secrete extra keratin, building up to form the bump.
Dermatologists won’t treat your HPV – they’re just cosmeticians. Most solutions offered are either temporary (freezing it off) or full of side effects (drugs/creams that monkey with your immune system, typically by causing nasty inflammation that creates a “target” that your body then destroys – but the inflammation spreads elsewhere as well, yay).
HPV survives by tampering with your immune system’s killer cells, disrupting their efficiency. Ergo, many types of HPV result in cancer (not types 2 and 4, common wart), both because the HPV causes a tumor, but also because your body is unable to clean up injured tissue.
Dr. Berg recommends the following treatment:
- 1 drop iodine (lugols would be fine)
- 1 drop garlic (crushed garlic, etc.)
- apply to wart, cover with bandaid or alternative for at least 15m; repeat daily until gone.
- as a bonus, use the supplement AHCC to bolster killer cell health and eliminate HPV from the body
Other remedies that people swear by, applied in the same manner as above (covered for at least 15m):
- Applying ACV
- Applying dandelion stalk “milk”
